About Germaine
Germaine is a warm, compassionate and dedicated Clinical Psychologist who employs a collaborative and culturally centred approach to mental health care. With a strong foundation in trauma-informed practices, attachment theory, and neuroaffirming methods, she is committed to supporting infants, children, adolescents and adults in their journey towards improved mental wellness. Her focus is on empowering clients to achieve their personal goals while fostering a safe and nurturing therapeutic environment.
Germaine is commonly sought out for her knowledge and experience around autism as well as infant, child and adolescent mental health. She has worked across public and private sectors, lectured in universities and supervised many early career and experienced psychologists. Germaine is experienced in supporting individuals with complex emotional, behavioural, developmental, and mental health needs. Her special interests include assisting those with backgrounds of trauma and attachment related concerns, infant mental health, and those presenting with neurodiversity. Germaine is a trained Circle of Security and Tuning into Kids/Teens facilitator and will occasionally run these groups.
When she is not working, she is spending time with her family and friends, chasing exceptionally great coffee and pastries and planning new adventures.
